Happy 50th Anniversary Mom & Dad

Today is my parents 50th anniversary. Wow - 50 years. A half century. I could say it has been all wedded bliss - but that would be a lie. They've had their ups, downs, ins and outs. But after everything they have been through together... that's just it - they are together.

We (the kids) sent them to a cabin in Lake Tahoe (their request) for 5 days and nights. They left today. Old family friends of ours (Paul & Josie Knight) will be meeting them there on Tuesday to spend time together.

When I think about my parents now - it seems so different. When your parents reach a certain age (Mom's 70 and Dad's 69) - you actually start worrying about them the way they have always worried about you. I'll be checking up on them - and they are to call me as soon as they get there. I suppose, what goes around, comes around.

I love you Mom and Dad! I hope you have a marvelous time and see you on Thursday at the airport.
